This morning, Jared and I decided
that today was a day for adventure! These are the days when we miss Seattle the
most, but… I googled, “fun things to do in Boise area”, and, after seeing many
horribly boring things we could do, I saw tours of the Old Idaho state
Penitentiary! I was intrigued and researched more… I, for one, love anything
crime related. I LOVE Law & Order SVU, CSI (any city), Snapped, and any jail
documentaries, just to name a few things.
We decided to go for it and I am so
glade we did! I was expecting a long, semi boring/semi intriguing tour of a
scary old building, but it turned out to be very fun and extremely interesting!
We arrived and were the only people wanting to go on a tour, and the tour guide
was home sick… Because the tour guide was sick we were given a map and they told
us we could just walk around and explore. It was so fascinating to walk through
the different buildings, see where the inmates slept, ate, showered, and were
even killed…. It was a wonderful day doing something new and learning some
Idaho history!
