Jared and I got married last year, on December 28th, 2012. The journey to our wedding day was not as we expected..... We planned and set dates three times before it actually happened! Jared's health and full recovery was the most important thing. So, we decided to keep moving the wedding so it could happen when he was feeling better.
Jared was in the hospital for a month leading up to the wedding, but, even though Jared was so sick and the future was unknown, we were so excited to finally get married! We had dinner and an absolutely lovely winter wedding at Pickering Barn in Issaquah, Washington.
We were blessed to have all of the people that mean the most to us in attendance and we celebrated love and life together. We each had four important people in our bridal parties. My bridesmaids included my sister Sydney, best friend in the whole world Darci, my cousin Mikayla, and Jared's sister Carin. I was so blessed to have these beautiful women stand beside me on my big day!
Jared was equally lucky to have four important people stand beside him. His groomsmen included his best man and brother Josh, and then his three great friends from college: Sooky, Jered, and Mitch.
Our reception was great! We started with our first dance, cut our beautiful cake, watched a fun slide show of pictures of us through the years, did toasts, and tried to talk with all of our guests!
Weddings are weird because you prep and plan for so long and then so quickly it is over! It was seriously the best day of my life! I felt like a total princess and everything ran so smoothly! We had wonderful wedding photographers, Tavis & Amy, from Memory Montage Photography that captured every beautiful moment of the day that I can now cherish forever!
